Delite Bake Shop, located in Yonkers at 773 Yonkers Ave., will reopen to customers on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 a.m. and return to its normal business hours.

The reopening comes months after a fire tore through the building on Saturday, July 13 around 12:30 a.m., according to the store's owner, Eric Jeraci.

Luckily, no one was injured in the blaze, as it had happened when the bakery was closed. Still, the fire caused enough damage to force the owners to begin a lengthy rebuilding process.

During the months that the bakery was closed, it raised over $3,000 through a GoFundMe page that collected donations from community members.

The bakery offers old-fashioned pies, loaves, rolls, cheesecakes, pastries, traditional cakes, and custom-made cakes for events.

Beginning Oct. 29, the business will open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
